Dr. Manuel Perez-Miranda
Dr. Manuel Perez-Miranda is Head of Gastroenterology at Hospital Universitario Rio Hortega (HURH) in Valladolid, Spain, where he joined the Pancreatobiliary Endoscopy team in 1996 and developed interventional EUS from 2000 onwards. He was an early adopter of EUS-guided biliary drainage, starting at HURH in 2003, and of LAMS technology. He has authored over 100 publications and has lectured and performed live endoscopy in more than 30 countries over the past decade. Combining ERCP and EUS is the focus of his clinical, teaching and research activity. Dr. Perez-Miranda serves on the Editorial Boards of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Endoscopy. He was President of the Spanish Endoscopy Society (SEED) between 2017-2018, and currently serves as President of SEED Scientific Committee for the term 2019-2020.
